Peggy’s Cove, Nova Scotia

Peggy’s Cove is a small fishing village about 43 kilometres southwest of downtown Halifax. It is most famous for its classic red-and-white lighthouse, namely Peggy’s Point Lighthouse, which is still working and fully operational.  Peggy’s Cove has maintained its rustic undeveloped appearance despite the fact that it has become one of the most popular tourist attraction in Eastern Canada. Many artists and photographers flocked to Peggy’s Cove for its picturesque landscape, and so did we.

The light station is situated on an extensive granite outcrop at Peggy’s Point.
Exploring around the light station, you will find amazing rock formations. These large boulders are 415-million-year-old Devonian granite.
