Polenta is ground cornmeal boiled with water or stock into a porridge and eaten directly or baked, fried or grilled. I first came across it in an Italian restaurant and has been wanting to try to make the dish on my own. Turns out it’s really easy.
義大利玉米餅 Polenta 是一個很家常的義大利主要食品。用磨碎的玉米粉做成，加上水攪拌，放上爐子，就可以煮出鬆軟的玉米餅。玉米餅可以做出許多種變化，可以做成軟狀像稀飯的口感，淋上醬汁洋菇蔬菜。又或是做成厚片，拿去燒烤，或者是炸成 Polenta Fries, 發揮想像力，可以做出上百種不同的菜色。
Today I have Polenta Stir Fry. Coupled with shitake mushroom, king oyster mushroom, red bell pepper and broccoli, polenta is transformed into the main of tonight’s dinner.
